Apr 13, 2025 • David Hall
There is nothing more heartbreaking for a mother than to watch her child suffer. It is even more excruciating when there is nothing the mother can do to ease the pain. In Scripture, we find Mary in that very predicament. At the end of Jesus’ life, as he struggled through beatings and crucifixion, there was nothing Mary could do but watch from a distance. And though Mary was dealing with overwhelming sorrow and pain, it seems that she provides us a good example of how to function in the midst of heartbreaking circumstances.
