Adam & Eve: The Fear of God

Every week for a number of years, millions of Americans gathered around their television to watch a show called Fear Factor. Contestants competed for $50,000 by attempting to overcome their worst fears — from eating live Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches to running across a moving balance beam 100 feet off the ground. While most of us can relate to being afraid of those things, they are not real life. And honestly, most people would prefer to eat a cockroach than to face some of their own personal fears.
