He Comforted the Troubled

Just hours before he died, Jesus said, “Do not let your hearts be troubled.” The word ‘trouble’ comes from a Greek word denoting “a heavy sea in the midst of a storm.” If anybody ever had a right to speak these words, Jesus did. His circumstances were caving in around them, and yet he gave a formula for peace despite everything that was happening to him.
