Are You Feeling Alone?

Are You Feeling Alone?
Feeling alone is something almost every Christian faces at some point. Even in a crowd, you might find yourself struggling with a sense of isolation. The world may seem indifferent, and it can feel like no one truly understands your pain or hears your cries. Yet, as believers, we are assured that we are never truly alone. God promises His presence, even in the loneliest moments.

Scripture is filled with reminders of God's nearness to us. Psalm 34:18 tells us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. This is not just a comforting phrase—it’s a truth. God doesn't abandon His people in their darkest hours; in fact, He draws closer. He knows your heartache, your struggles, and your pain. His presence isn’t dependent on how we feel. Even if you don’t "feel" His closeness, rest assured—He is there.

Consider Jesus during His time on earth. He experienced loneliness, rejection, and abandonment. At His most agonizing moment on the cross, He cried out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). Christ’s sacrifice wasn’t just to save us from sin; it was also to assure us that even in our loneliness, He fully understands. He walks with us and empathizes with our pain.

Are you feeling abandoned today? Bring your feelings to God in prayer. Talk to Him openly and honestly—He is listening. Lean on His Word for comfort. Isaiah 41:10 reassures us, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Blessings,
Pastor David
